10 Essentials for a Perfect Snow Trek

In this post, I shared how I got struck in the snow and had to quit few meters before the destination. I had to quit because I was ill equipped. Nevertheless, that short trek taught me many valuable lessons.

Here, I would like to share a list of essentials that can make your any snow trek perfect.

1. Woolen Jacket

Warm trakking jacketWeather in the hills can be very unpredictable. So a good, water proof jacket is a must. It will keep you warm, as well as protect you from the rain. If you don’t want to carry woolen cap go for a jacket that comes with an attached hood. While trekking your body will stay warm but the chill can hurt your ears, as well as the direct sun can cause you headache. So it is better to keep your head covered most of the time.

2. Hand Gloves

3. Trekking Shoes

Shoes for trekkingDo you know why I had to quit my last snow trek? Because I had the wrong shoes. The snow would creep inside them, melt there, and the chill made my feet go numb. So buy a good pair of shoes that can keep your feet isolated from the snow.
